. The VSP is possibly the biggest and best vision care plan in the US. It was started in the 1950's in San Leandro as a Union Benefit and is now nationwide with main headquarters in Rancho Cordova, CA. It has it's own optical laboratories, two in CA , The Sacramento lab is of such high quality we use it for all our glasses except for the required Medi-Cal lab and a lab that adds color to lenses.

VSP is an excellent eyeglass plan but mediocre for contact lenses. However, a few better contact lens plans have emerged. VSP has over 2,000 plans. That number creates a longer calculation of your bill. However, your benefits justify the wait.
